After a wild ride during the month of March, most people have started to accept the new reality of #StayAtHome orders from local governments. Many businesses have been closed for weeks, and now that parks have also seen record crowds, these outdoor options are being closed and have become off-limits to encourage physical distancing.
For some people, these #StayHome orders create a lot of extra work in the form of homeschooling kids, pet care, elder care, and taking on other extra chores to keep the household running. For others, these orders create a lot of extra free time as sports and other recreation have almost entirely been canceled. Fortunately, the resources below can help whether you need help with education or want to find economical ways to spend your free time.

What other deals have you found to be helpful during these days where we’re all staying home to help #FlattenTheCurve?

I do miss going out and meeting my friends, but surprisingly, I still haven’t felt bored. Even at home, there’s always something new to explore — whether it’s trying different meals, checking updated menu prices, or discovering new food trends. There’s always more to do than hours in the day! I hope you also find something tasty or interesting to keep your boredom away — sometimes even browsing your favorite restaurant menus can brighten the day.
Hi Alycia, I also missed a lot of things during lockdowns, but I definitely never found myself bored!
This is such a helpful roundup! Even though these offers were from early 2020, it’s interesting looking back at how many companies stepped up to support people during lockdown. The variety of free resources — from workouts to streaming to education — really shows how everyone tried to make staying at home a little easier. Thanks for putting all of this together in one place!
Hi Isabella, I agree that it is nice to look back at this positive side of the major lifestyle changes we all went through in those years!
