i have been trying for 3 years now , use to be able to go in show my ID , but not no more, so here i go trying again.
Hi Michael, I’m not sure how the program used to work, but these days, the Denny’s free birthday mail requires guests to have a Denny’s account that includes their birthday information. Once you are in their system, they should send you an email that is valid during your birthday month that can be redeemed for a free meal. It does require more steps than simply showing your ID for a free meal, but on the bright side, you will have a full month to use the freebie!
I went to Denny’s as usual for my free birthday Grandslam. I was greatly disappointed! The software you are using is not efficient. The person who waited on me when I wanted to pay was not happy. I feel she was blaming me for the delay, and it was your software! To top it all off, she did not give me a receipt, but had to ask for it, and she was not happy about that either! I have never had this problem at Denny’s. There are lots of free meals at other restaurants for a birthday and I may not go back to Denny’s.

Sorry, but I think things were much simpler when you only needed to show a drivers license or some other type of ID. I was really looking forward to the breakfast but left without it and will probably not return to Denny’s again.
