Personally, I like the more understated decor items like the brass bat door knocker or the fall wreath. As I live in South Africa, we don’t really make a huge thing of Halloween, but it is slowly gaining popularity over the last few years, which is why I like to do a few simple decor items which can be removed easily after the festivities are over, unlike Xmas which is a longer period to enjoy a lot of decor. I must admit I quite like the idea of making your garage look like a monster. Do you go all out when it comes to decorating your house for Halloween?

Hi, Michel! The brass bat door knocker and black fall wreath are great picks for an easy, polished outdoor Halloween display that can come down quickly after the season.🦇 The monster garage door idea is definitely fun for a one-night Halloween statement (especially when paired with simple LED lights that make the whole setup pop).

I have a handful of seasonal colors and fun details to decorate throughout the month, but on Halloween, we do it up a little more for the trick-or-treaters. We add animated pumpkins (real pumpkins with projected animated faces), dark, moody lighting, and my favorite touch: the fog machine that runs by the front door. It’s definitely one of the more fun holidays that we celebrate!👻
