I am disappointed. I have been a strong Macy’s shopper thru thick and thin. Friday was my birthday and I went to the New York store and couldn’t use the birthday reward on anything I tried to buy. This is no way to treat a customer. I am looking for the items elsewhere now. What a bad move on their part – the coupon book says Happy Birthday to you but Macy’s gives nothing. All the other stores sent me a coupon that worked on everything – same amount too.
They send you coupon get to register and can’t use it. Waste of my tine selecting out merchandise only to be told these do not apply

Unfortunately, it’s often standard practice for stores to exclude their premium brands from discount offers. It’s helpful to read the fine print on offers before you shop in order to better understand what discounts you’ll be eligible to receive. Hi Jeanine, please check the “fine print” on your birthday gift to figure out those details. The offer should be good for online purchases, but I’m not sure about how the Macy’s birthday gift stacks with other offers.

Hi Patricia, That is so frustrating! There are a lot of top brands excluded from Macy’s coupons, and usually, the entire beauty department is excluded from their coupons too. You may have luck using your Macy’s birthday coupon on cute new accessories, but I understand that it’s not ideal to have so many conditions on the gift.
