While most of us are very much adaptive to cold environments, some of us are very much prone to getting sick in a cold weather. Either case I think there’s a limit the body can go when being resistant to cold and that’s why we should put on protective wears out the in the cold. Whenever there’s winter I do not forget to keep my body warm at all cost.

    • Alyce says:

Thanks for sharing! I agree that it’s helpful to dress in warm layers to protect the body from harsh winter elements!!

We’ve done a few cold trips where I live and after learning about some great products that will help us stay in great shape as we look to warm up. I love the idea of battery-powered heating gloves to keep my hands warm. There’s a ton of great stuff on offer here for cooler weather, making for an enjoyable shopping experience. Thank you for the article.

Hi John, We found that our “outdoor” season got much longer due to pandemic restrictions on indoor activities. These smart products kept us warm when the temperatures started dipping too low for our comfort. I hope you found some good options for yourselves as well!

I travel for work and take my dog with me. Was trying to find new winter clothes to help me stay warm in the very cold temperatures when walking my dog. Have heard about the heated wear but not sure how they work, and would like to find out more if they are safe. For right now I stick with doubling up my clothing. I have bookmarked your site for easy access.

Hi Jannette, We have a Siberian Husky who loves to be outside when it’s really cold, but it can be challenging for people to stay warm during those long winter walks. The electronics have been great for keeping everyone warm and comfy on cold days. I hope you find something that helps to keep you warm while walking your dog!

Even in Los Angeles, the weather has cooled off substantially. I like the idea of battery-heated gloves to keep one’s hands warm. There is so much cool stuff offered here for cooler weather that makes for a fun shopping experience. I addition to battery heated gloves there are also battery heated jackets. I wonder when warm clothes will also be fitted with LEDs to provide illumination as one moves about in the dark. This will eliminate the need to use a flashlight and allow one to keep hands in a pocket.

    Cheers.

    Edwin

Hi Edwin, We have already had some cold outings where I live, and after learning that the kids’ football team is going to the playoffs, we have a few more cold-weather outings in our immediate future. I can speak from experience that powered heating devices are worth their weight in gold when you are shivering outside to support a sports team. Very highly recommended!!

It’s perfect timing to post on these products and reward programs, as winter in just a few weeks away. Thanks so much! We started having outdoor get-togethers as a safer way to see friends during COVID, but we’ve enjoyed the time outdoors so much that outdoor hangouts are likely to continue long past the pandemic.

Wow, you certainly have thought about everything.  I like that you stuck by a particular theme and went into every last product that customers could possibly want in relation to keeping warm, regardless of the environment (indoors and out).

I think that the comprehensiveness of the list will make people think about products that they will not have originally thought of.

    Keep up the good work.

Thank you for providing this information in one place, sometimes it’s a struggle to find the different pieces from top to bottom that are appropriate for this season. They are affordable, which makes them accessible to most individuals, I really appreciate the time you took to cover all the authorities in winter attire and accessories.

Living at the beach, I don’t remember the last time I wore thermal underwear. It was probably back in High School when I was playing football in the winter time or maybe camping as a boy scout. I don’t even have any of extreme cold weather clothing at this time. It would have been nice to have some last week when the temps dropped to below 30. It is not supposed to be that cold here.I can’t imagine being in places like Texas where no one is used to cold weather like they are having. I like being outside and normally would be very comfortable with just a light jacket. You have provided a good list for the cold weather items. We bought a firepit right but it has been too cold or windy to use it yet.

This is handy as we plan for future trips to colder climates, so thanks for the helpful list of items for the next cold adventure!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Rich, For those of us in places where it gets cold, these items can make all the difference in personal comfort levels. Living in a place with a warm climate all year is definitely a good way to stay warm in the winter!

  14. Fran says:

Wow!  You have it all, right here…great selection for me, as I live in Alaska. Let’s see — I’ll take one pair of the heated socks, a heated vest, and a Chimenea — the Sunnydaze one, please. Your article is so timely, too. It’s just gearing up here for our coldest month, usually February. Perhaps you should advertise in Alaska Magazine.

You have searched out so many great things for warming us. I am already a fan of the hand warmers, and keep a supply of them for the whole winter. For folks with arthritic fingers that get very, very cold, they are life-savers. I really like your selection.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Fran, I can think of no better endorsement than to hear that these items are Alaskan-approved! 🙂 I hope you are able to stay warm and cozy and enjoy the Alaskan Winter.

Hello! I absolutely love all the clothing items for outdoor wear. I live in Michigan and it is now winter here. My family and I went to an outdoor light show and it was quite cold, in the 20’s. I love your collections of keep warm gear like the electric socks, thermal wear for women and the thermal neck warmers! I always have to have my neck covered, and I really like that scarf. These clothing items will work for me and my whole family!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Evelyn, Thanks for sharing. I hope you are able to stay warm and toasty during all your adventures in Michigan this season!

  17. Rachel says:

Great clothing recommendations! Where I live, it fortunately doesn’t ever get too cold but it does occasionally drop down into the negatives so having some extra layers on underneath isn’t always a bad thing. I love that you recommended the hot hands handwarmers. When I worked the self checkouts while I was still working in retail, they were right next to the main doors and it would get so cold because of customers always leaving and coming in. Those things are amazing to keep your hands warm, even if you’re inside.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Rachel, I agree that the handwarmers are amazing! They are very helpful when working in the cold when hands lose dexterity from getting too cold!!
