To be honest, my initial reaction after reading the post was “Say What?” lol, sorry, because I didn’t know that there were so many options out there (*so so many options*), and the best part, even IF I visit a place a day for a party, It still would not cover every other place.

Maybe next time, when my friends wanna hang out, I’ll save a lot of money for them, of course, in a manner that would benefit me as well. Thanks for getting the word out.

haha… you are right Sid… there are so many of these options that you might be able to get a free bonus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and still not be able to take advantage of them all. 🙂

With all that free food, keep in mind that there are also places that offer free fitness events & classes… helpful when you’re indulging but still want to keep that youthful figure! 😉

Wow great resource for birthday gifts! Honestly I had no idea that there were so many gifts out there. 130+ is pretty amazing. To me the Hall of Fame food option would be Fogo de Chao. I’ve been there once before and it was exceptional. I’ll try and make sure that I don’t eat for a few days ahead of time this time. Other deals that catch my fancy are Hard Rock Cafe, Maggiano’s and Godiva. I’ll keep your post saved for when I run into a birthday or two. Thanks for the great recommendations!

Wow. Just what I was looking for today. Was hoping to find some ideas to make a special birthday year even more special, and I think I found a few places here to take up on their offer. IKEA being on the list gave me a chuckle. I would have never thought of IKEA! My mom’s a big fan. Going to share, as it will make her day! Thanks for the great list.

    • Alyce says:

Awesome! I hope your Mom enjoys the free birthday meal and the coupon to get herself a neat gift in the IKEA store!!

    Hi

Who does not  like a treat for their birthday especially if it free, which is my language. All that are on offer, seems to be amazing and more than expected. Makes you wish you have a birthday every day but not too much cake, as you have to watch my figure. I never knew that there was so many!

    Thanks for the info.

    Antonio

Wow. I I think I found this post right on time. I didn’t know this restaurants actually have birthday specials. This kind of things really do give celebrants a special kind of feeling. I think I’d try on this with my friend whose birthday is next week and be back to give a

    Hi!
I was surprised by the amount of options to have a gift or a free meal at restaurants or places to eat. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get any of these gifts because they aren’t in my country. The only one I could go to is Hard Rock Café and I will check if they also have a free entree with purchase of entree.

    Best,

    Mariana

I can’t believe the amount of work you put into this article.  I’m really impressed, I have to say.  I’ve actually bookmarked the article and sent it to my kids.  None of us have immediate birthdays coming up, but what I really liked about a lot of these offers is they’re not just for the actual date itself, but they give you like a week to use the coupon.  You could make a whole fun birthday week of it.  How cool is that?

    • Alyce says:

Actually, many of these give you 4 full weeks to use the birthday discount… so go ahead and sign up in advance so that you can celebrate in grand fashion when the birthdays arrive!

  8. Henry says:

Happy Birthday! I found your post just on time! I can’t make up my mind which reward program to pick! But I’ll have to pick one! I think we’ll go with Maggiano’s Little Italy. A $10 coupon is a good discount. And I also like the fact that it’s valid for 1 month! Buongiorno Italia! 🙂

    • Alyce says:

Hi Henry, Don’t feel limited to pick just one… Go ahead and sign up for all of the ones that you like! As many of the freebies are valid for weeks or even all month, you will have a lot of opportunities to use the free restaurant birthday gifts!

Love this sight. I am a penny pincer. I thoroughly enjoyed the detail as pertaining to the specific site and detail of the location and savings available. Gifts or other. Knowing what savings are available and where are truly helpful.

Just make sure your information is correct and up to date.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Clarence, I have received all of these offers in the past month, so they are currently correct… but as each restaurant is in charge of their own birthday free gift programs, the offers could change at any time. Information will absolutely be corrected and updated as needed!

  10. Jose G. says:

Wow, I didn’t even know half these places had birthday specials (even Ikea!). I’m assuming there’s even more out there that didn’t make the list. I haven’t heard of a lot of these places, but to the ones I have, they sound pretty promising. But Alyce, based on your opinion, which birthday deals are your favorite? Or at least, which ones sound like too much a steal not to miss out on?

    • Alyce says:

Hi Jose, my favorites are Fogo de Chao, Benihana, and IKEA. Fogo and Benihana are fantastic meals, but they aren’t cheap, so it’s very nice to get a discount. The IKEA freebie includes a $15 gift certificate to use in their store, and I can always find useful things for the house there.

There are certainly more birthday freebies at restaurants than I have listed – I know that I personally get a couple more from restaurants that are only located in my city. However, if you know of any additional restaurants that you’d like to see added, just let me know!

Hey! Your content is pretty cool and very informative. I personally didn’t know that you can get birthday gifts at some restaurants. Your content is quite ‘out of the box’ which is a really good thing. I know some places you can get free desert after dining at there place but I didn’t know that there was so much more you can get. This information seems quite useful for people who are willing to celebrate their birthdays at restaurants and stuff and they would be able to get a gift with it ! Great work!

    • Alyce says:

Thanks Daniel, I always enjoy dining out at great restaurants and it’s even more fun to get a free bonus to help celebrate!!

hi, reading your post of list of rewards for free restaurant that gives meal and drinks on birthday is very helpful and it makes birthday celebrant to feel special, thank you for your research on the list of rewards it is helpful, sharing this post will be the best birthday gift i will give to friends.

    • Alyce says:

Thanks so much for sharing. Keep in mind that most of the birthday gifts require advance signup, so be sure to share this with your friends at least a month before their birthday!

  13. Wayne says:

Hi, Alyce and, WHO KNEW!! that there were so many benefits/perks to having a birthday/anniversary or ? and ways to save money.  I find this a bit mind-blowing.  I knew that some eateries did this sort of thing but I had no idea that there were so many.

My wife and I were just down in Washington State last June and went to a restaurant called Bob’s Burgers and Brews for my last Birthday.  I received a Free dessert of my choice.

We have some of these restaurants where I live in Canada so I will definitely be checking them out when I get to my next B-day to see if they have some of the same deals. Some places don’t even require a purchase?  I like that too.

The best thing is that the restaurants don’t really lose when a group comes in for a celebration dinner (and they usually are groups) which makes these freebies a real business booster.  Even if it’s just a couple, there is still a benefit.

Thanks again for this list.  We’ll be checking around here for some of those cool perks in September, (Anniversary).

    Wayne

    • Alyce says:

Hi Wayne, You are absolutely right, there is certainly a benefit to the restaurant to offer these birthday freebies. People rarely celebrate a birthday alone, which means a large group of diners will be dining at the restaurant (and maybe a few who are new customers — which is invaluable to a restaurant!).

Be sure to let your servers know when you’re celebrating your anniversary as well… you may be surprised at just how many will offer you a free dessert to help you celebrate. This goodwill and nice gesture is something that people remember!

  14. Tom says:

    Hi Alyce,

This is a really comprehensive breakdown of what is available out there. I wan’t aware that all these restaurants had these gifts. It is a good way for restaurants to keep in the minds of customers (for good reasons). This way they will keep going back for more birthdays. Kids love this kind of thing.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Tom, There are definitely a lot of these options available nationally… and I didn’t even cover the options that are available at your local area restaurants too! I highly recommend that you sign up for any programs at your local favorites (in addition to the national chain restaurants). You may as well be rewarded for your loyalty to places that you frequent and let them treat you on your birthday!

  15. Stella says:

This is a fantastic treat for birthday celebration. This appears to be an amazing opportunity to explore sweet meals for free or at cheaper rate. If I have this opportunity I would love to have a taste again on how the taste of american dessert or sweet look like in those shops while celebrating any of my next birthday in America. But how can that be possible when am not one of their customers? I need to ask my aunty if she knows about this reward programs for birthdays. This is a great opportunity.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Stella, Yes, these programs are for restaurants in the United States, but you don’t have to live here permanently (or be a current customer) to get the rewards. If you plan to be in the states within a month of your birthday, go ahead and use your email to sign up for your favorites… Then collect your free birthday food during your visit!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

What a great idea. There seems to be an endless opportunity to reward someone with these cards  I really like the idea of giving someone a card because they can share it with others which enhances the opportunity.  These can be given to family member, employees, church members, and all sorts of people out there who deserve recognition.

Rewarding or recognizing someone with a gift like this can say so much about their value to the company.  I think even surprising a friend with a gift card can be a wonderful experience.  It seems so easy to do!

Thanks for such a great idea.

    • Alyce says:

Hi TimMoto, Gift cards are a great way to give a gift that allows the giftee to choose what they want, but these offers are about the free birthday gifts that you would sign your self up for. Take another look and sign up for the ones that appeal most to YOU!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

Hello, I love this idea of restaurant birthday gifts! It’s a blessing for people like me who enjoy eating nice food in a nice restaurant. I had this tremendous experience in Beni Hana and I must say that it was fabulous! The only thing I regret is that the gifts only lasts one month, which is a shame – less long than beauty gifts! I also liked the fact that you presented many options according to everyone’s food tastes – that’s a good job you did here.

    • Alyce says:

Yes, it’s true that these offers only last a month (or less), but if you can get additional family members or friends to sign up, you can have discounts throughout the year!

      Warm Regards, Alyce
